Night patrols
Kia ora. Night time patrols are an effective crime deterrent tool for our Beach Haven & Birkdale Community. No offender would be happy while roaming our streets knowing their physical description and vehicle details are being recorded and passed on to Police. However, dissuasive effect depends on how many and how frequently these patrols are deployed. As a matter of fact, to be driving around consumes petrol. Beach Haven & Birkdale Community Watch has recently applied for the Auckland Council grants program to get funds to cover our petrol expenditure. In the meanwhile we are still paying for fuel from our pockets.
