About Us


 

     Beach Haven and Birkdale Community Watch is a registered not-for-profit incorporated charity trust operating since December 2019 in the Kaipatiki region of North Shore, Auckland, New Zealand.

    Our objective is to reduce the oportunity for crime in our area, being the eyes and ears of the local authorities. All our members are volunteers living in the Community.

    While on patrol we look for anything suspicious or out of place, we take notes of the details and send this information to Police. We also identify sources of potential risks for our Community and report them to the authorities.

Safer plates, done!

   Today was amazing! We not only helped many local car and tool owners protecting their assets, but we reached a milestone. This event is proof that a small group of committed people working together can change things. Thanks to the support of Beach Haven Birkdale Residents Association, RSA Birkenhead, and Beach Haven Tennis Club we were able to get here.  Special thanks to Sgt. D. Murden, who gave valuable advice about crime prevention to the attendants. We're locals, volunteering to improve safety in our neighbourhood. Get in touch if you wanna join us.

  Police would like to remind vehicle owners to ensure their vehicles are secured and any valuable items are removed when they’re unattended. While Police are committed to actively investigating vehicle theft and holding offenders to account, people should take precautions to prevent their vehicle from being targeted. 🔐 Ensure your vehicle is locked, and all valuable items removed or concealed from view when you are not with it. 🔐 If possible, park your vehicle in a garage, but if it must be parked on the road, try to park in a well-lit, busy area. 🔐 Invest in a steering wheel lock or other anti-theft devices for vehicles and trailers.
